Hemming Jeans made easy:

  1. Press and pin jeans hem.
  2.  Begin stitching at inner leg before seam. When pressure foot hits thick seam, stop sewing with needle in fabric. Lift foot and insert Jean-a-ma-jig from behind to make foot level with seam. DROP PRESSURE FOOT.
  3. Stitch across seam, turning handwheel, if necessary. When Jean-a-ma-jig is free, move it to front to maintain level surface. Stitch in groove until off seam and totally onto jean-a-ma-jig.
  4. Stop with needle in fabric and remove Jean-a-ma-gig. Continue sewing.

No more skipped, uneven stitches! Your hemmed jeans will look like they came that way...no unsightly uneven stitches. Jump the bump!
